Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
The theme for the 2021 Singapore World Water Day (SWWD) is Climate Change and Water Security. Given the effects of climate change on water sustainability globally (Singapore and beyond), everyone has a part to play to safeguard our water future and we can all make a difference simply by using water wisely.
Surely Annual Camp 2021 felt like it just happened tomorrow! Can you still recall the activities you played together with your squadmates during our 3 day Corps Camp? Let us recap on how we went about our camp!
2021’s St John Annual Camp that was held at Nan Hua High School was a blast and a very meaningful one. Cadets took part in the activity with zest and enthusiasm, and put in the utmost effort to be the best they could be. Despite the restriction measures that were put in place due to the ongoing pandemic, the Annual Camp was still able to take place with adherence to the restrictions. The theme of the camp is Legendary Creatures. We hope that our corps can eventually become like legendary creatures, possessing heroic characteristics in every one of us.
Some of the highlights of the camp include the 8-kilometre hike to West Coast Park from school and back. During the hike, the corps persevered on even though they were exhausted and managed to complete the hike within the span of a few hours.

Another highlight was the mass physical training session conducted on the final day of camp. The cadets worked together and completed their exercises with zeal and determination. All cadets tried their best to endure through the tough exercises that they were tasked to complete. In order to make the physical training session more interesting and exciting, the session was conducted in a form of a competition where two groups compete with each other. Teamwork was evident during the session as the corps worked together and encouraged one another in their small groups.

The Gala Afternoon was a memorable experience for the corps. During the Gala Afternoon, there were multiple performances by the groups as well as games that were played. Everyone showcased their talents during the performance and performed well. All the hard work and time put in for the final performance was worth it!
Overall, the camp was enjoyable as we get to play games and do things that we do not really get the chance to do during CCA. During the camp, we got the chance to bond with our squadmates and through some activities, I got to know more about them . The camp was very interesting as we got to play games and prepare for the performance on the third day. We even went on an 8km walk. Although it was exhausting, the walk could still be considered as a good experience as we could chat with our friends and seniors. To sum up, I felt that the camp was quite fun and meaningful.
